Thanks to everyone who made it down last night to De Burgos, those who did witnessed a very special night indeed, a diverse but excellent lineup.
John Lambert aka Chequerboard kicked it off with an excellent instrumental set, classical guitar melodies combined with digital effects and live looping. Check out his video for 'Konichiwa' at the bottom of this post.
Next up was Larkin Grimm who stopped off at Stress!! again on her short european tour before getting back into the studio in January to record her new album with producer Michael Gira on Young God Records (Devendra Banhart, SWANS). She was showcasing some of her new material this time and judging by what we heard it's going to be a cracker of an album.
The Informatics topped it all off with a cracking hip hop set, it's not every often you get to see a live hip hop band in full flow and they did not disappoint the crowd who were really up for it. Great bunch of guys and their album is due out in the new year.
